Personal Training

Private Classes

Not sure exactly where or if your dog fits into a class? Your dog has fear issues and you’re not sure how it will do in a class. You already have some training knowledge and just want some extra tips so you can practice on your own.

Whatever the reason, we can do a private consult and help you to see what type of training is the best for you and your dog. We can either point you in the direction of one of our classes, or help to design a training program with your goals in mind.

Classes held in Rosedale
  • Tuesday/Thursday – 9:30 or 10:45am
  • Wednesday – 5:00, 6:15 or 7:30pm

Cost: $131.25 (GST inc) for one consult, $525 (GST inc) for five sessions

Contact us now to get your package scheduled at [email protected]. Book your single session below.

Trick training

Dog tricks are a great way to take your training to the next level. Teaching your dog tricks can be fun for both of you. Trick training is a great way to build your dog’s confidence, and it allows you to continue training with your dog and keep it enjoyable.

Sometimes tricks can help deal with behavioural problems and in the end the dog is just happy to please you.

Cost: $131.25 (GST Inc) for one consult, $525 (GST Inc) for five sessions (half hour lessons possible as well). Classes held in Rosedale.

**If you’re ready to submit your tricks by video for a Do More With Your Dog trick title, or would like to demonstrate them, the evaluation is offered no charge.**

Contact us to get this scheduled at [email protected]

Rally Obedience

The main objective of Rally-O is to provide a fast-moving and motivational activity that demonstrates a handler and dog’s competency in basic obedience exercises without requiring exact precision for success. Dogs should demonstrate willingness and enjoyment and handlers can use praise and encouragement throughout (as explained by the Canadian Kennel Club (CKC)).

Here is a video explaining Rally Obedience. It’s done by the American Kennel Club (AKC) but very similar to the Canadian Kennel Club (CKC).

Our intent is that both dog and handlers are having FUN! We will teach the rules so that if you want to go on to compete, you certainly can, or just come to build a relationship with your dog. Either way, the time will be spent helping you develop together.

Prerequisite: Your dog has basic manners training at a minimum and is 6 months or older.

Frequently Asked Questions

We understand you may have questions about what we can help with, and how we help. The below is our most frequently asked questions to help answer any questions you may have!

The group classes are held at the Anglican Church Hall in Sardis – 46078 Higginson Rd (at Stevenson), and the Privates and Semi-privates are held in Rosedale – 10024 Parkwood Dr.

If your child is under 5 years old, a second parent will need to be there to monitor them while the other person is training the dog. If older than 5, they can be there and occupied with an iPad, or book (no squeaky toys) but need to remain seated or help with training the dog during class and cannot approach the other dogs.

I’d highly recommend that you put each dog in separate classes so that they can focus more on you during the class. Often when dogs have bonded, they’re constantly searching for the other dog across the room.

If you’re wearing the harness, please also wear a flat collar on the dog to class.

No. Please bring a 6 foot leash.

Please bring 1-2 cups of small treats. You can bring kibble, but please also bring other things cut about the size of a pea like cheese, chicken, hot dogs, liver, etc.
We go through a lot of treats in class. It’s important to withhold the meal prior to class, especially if you have a smaller dog.

Leanne taught me the kindest and gentlest way to train my Australian labradoodle. Clover thrived in the classes and we both came out better for being there. I highly recommend taking not only the puppy class but the second set as well. Then if wanting further fun with your dog, take the rally classes!
